I'm not a good singer. Can I still do this?
Absolutely. This is for everyday people who want to capture something meaningful. My goal is to help you sound your best.
What if I make a mistake?
We'll do multiple takes. I'll take the best bits of your performances and edit out mistakes.
Do I need to prepare anything?
A room. Have an idea of what you want to record, preferably a quiet room with soft furnishings like curtains, carpets, couches or bookshelves. They help absorb echo.
You. Choose a song that is within your capability. Practice as much as you can beforehand, so you can concentrate on a performance that has feel. There are plenty of YouTube video tutorials to help you prep.
What kind of songs can I record?
Anything with a backing track available on Karaoke Version—there are hundreds of songs across every genre. If you're not sure, just ask and I'll check. (There is an extra cost to buy the backing track)
What if I want to record without a backing track?
No problem at all. Acoustic, spoken word, a cappella—we can do whatever suits your project. Just let me know prior.
Can I record with a friend?
Yes. Duets and group recordings are fine. Just let me know in advance.
How long will it take?
In addition to the recording time allocated within the package, allow another 30 minutes or so either side for set up and pack down.
Is my recording private?
Absolutely. I don't share your recording anywhere without your permission.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer or cash on the day.
